Annual KU Vets Day 5K

November 12, 2017 at 9:00 am

The annual KU Vets Day 5K, hosted by the KU Student Veterans of America and the Veterans Alumni Network, honors our past/present veterans and raises awareness of the roles veterans play in our university and community. The 5K begins and ends at Memorial Stadium, traveling through the KU campus past KU’s five war memorials.

We dedicated the 2017 run to commemorate the centennial of KU's ROTC program, as well as all those who have served in our armed forces.

All proceeds from the Vets Day 5K support KU Student Veterans of America (SVA) chapter and the new Lt. Gen. William K. Jones Military-Affiliated Student Center.

  • The KU SVA chapter provides student-veterans with an excellent forum to connect with peers and provide a common voice/advocacy for student-veterans on campus.
  • The Lt. Gen. William K. Jones Military-Affiliated Student Center is KU’s centralized resource for military-affiliated students to assist students with their transition from the military to campus, persistence to graduation, and transition from the university to the civilian workforce. The center, located in 345 Summerfield Hall, opened in January 2017.

Online registration is closed.

You can register in-person on Saturday at packet pick up and Sunday at the race site.

Note: We can no longer guarantee shirt sizes. We are now out of XL and XXL shirts.
